After the completion of a first Semester and a long vacation, journey for my second semester had begun from 19th February. This semester holds four different modules with four different importances for computing. We had crossed the first week and now running on a second week.
In first week, for a module named “Personal Development for Computing” the lecture began on a slight introduction to a module and we were informed that it’s fully based on an assessment type of an individual and a group works covering 50-50 marks from overall total which verifies only an individual effort is not enough a group work is equally important as well. In tutorial, we were given a task to discuss the ability of graduated students in computing and we were also informed about should form a group to make a simple website for presentation. In lab, an individual speech was to be presented on any one chosen topic based on a graduated student’s ability in computing. I was second person to present on the importance of computational thinking and its relevance to everyday life but before jumping on my topic I was first asked to review my friend’s opinion on designing computer based systems. And I enjoyed listening to everyone who presented their views on a certain chosen topic and rest of some other friends doesn’t have a chance to present their opinions due to less time duration. After the completion of doing presentation we were given a task to write a blog on a 1st week achievement.
So, a first week was of quite interesting one, all the lecture, tutorial and lab was of similar to our previous semester and while doing a presentation I was not too nervous as I used be before. I am pretty sure that this module would help me developing more skills and knowledge on writing and doing presentation work for my academic development.
