Programming Language

Programming Language is a language which is understandable by computer to perform its work as per the given instruction provided by human beings. For the development of application, scripts or any kinds of instruction for computer to execute, programmers are fully depended on programming languages like C++, Java, Visual Basic, HTML, SQL, etc.

As being a keen interest on using a computers from since the first time I had used in my life. After my completion of +2 levels from a management background for the further Bachelor Degree I have chosen a BSc. (Hons) Computing in Islington College. From my high-school level I have gained the concept of using a C++ programming language which I enjoyed on doing coding like I was playing a game that passion increase on me and has become a hobby for me playing with the coding. I have some knowledge about HTML and Visual Basic too but now I am mainly focusing on a Java programming language only because it’s the part of my course which I have learned during my first semester in Islington College. During the study of learning a Java programming language it was of easy one because we were taught some part of basics only. First, we started our Java from a Notepad and later we were taught to upgrade our java coding on a BlueJ. Now, I have been using Netbeans software to do my java programming and while working I have created one simple calculator. When I finished making my simple application of .jar file type I was so happy because for the first time I have created one application by myself.

The concept of doing programming to develop applications I love to do it because it has been a passion on me. And I have chosen computing course thinking I would have a good career in the coming future. So from Islington, I have lots of hope to learn many new things in the field of computing.

Academic Development after 8th Week

My Academic Development during the period after I have crossed the 8th Week is a proficient along with precipitately work experience. During the period of 9th week to until 13th week touching the line to finish our first semester for the Computing course. So, before the completion of our first semester we had to do many struggling.

When we moved to 9th week for a module named “Problem Solving for IT” we were given a 2nd Coursework whose deadline was to be submitted in 18th January. The coursework was related to create a spreadsheet and database design concept which was to be done on Ms-Excel, Ms-Access and Ms-Word. For me, doing a spreadsheet in Ms-Excel and preparing a report in Ms-Word it was of easy one but while creating a database in Ms-Access I had a problem with the queries concept and was not being able to do my database. Finally, at the last moment in a deadline day thanks to my friend who helped me to solve my queries problem and after its completion I mailed it to my tutor on time. While moving to the next week again there was a released of 2nd Coursework for a module named “Introduction to Programming” whose deadline was to be submitted in 20th January. The coursework was of preparing a Java code and upgrading it on software BlueJ; I completed this work on time by myself and submitted on time in a deadline day. In the 11th week, there was a writing test for a module “Logic” and a final presentation for “Study Skills for Computing”. In 13th week, we have to submit our Personal Statement, Personal Development Planning (PDP) and posting of at least 5 blogs too.

So, overall doing all the stuffs I have described above after 13th week our first semester would be on complete and will be enjoying our 1 month vacation until second semester begins.
